THE HISTORY OF STORY TIME:
In December of 2008, we provided space and advertised for a Story Time put on by the Children’s Literature Class at Hiram College (two one-hour sessions). Due to high interest, we continued to provide a weekly story hour beginning in January of 2009. Hiram College Education majors have joined us over the years, volunteering or using the experience as an independent study.
We at Mantua Center Christian Church believe in providing a place of warmth and safety for children and families to grow and learn together. Story Time is an outreach ministry of our church, yet the content of the stories and songs are not “faith-based.” Families are always welcome to join us for our Christian education and worship ministries on Sunday mornings!
